Elephant inspiration for boys’ writing

A great way to engage boys –  and girls – is to watch the amazing footage of elephants in the award-winning ‘A Child’s Eye View of Safari’ and to talk about how the elephant keepers at Knowsley Safari Park, Merseyside are always thinking of activities that the elephants will find enjoyably challenging , such as different  ways of presenting their food so that they will enjoy it even more by spending longer eating it.  The Knowsley elephants  have ‘Kerplunk’ and barrel feeders and fruit ice  buckets, and they have fun with hose balls.  Encourage your children to devise ‘elephant fun’ activities, write about them, with drawings, and send them to the elephant keepers at Knowsley: info@knowsley.com .  They will be very pleased to receive them!
